Hustle is a heartfelt love letter to basketball that is also a perfect vehicle for Adam Sandler to begin a more mature era of mainstream leading man roles. His love for the game spills out in every line and it’s completely lovable of him to make a movie so real and to show his passion for the game on a much deeper level thus making a movie for it to show how profound he is associated with such a lovely sport.
It is a great film for your average film goer, and an electric film for basketball fans. Some very pretty looking cinematography and a very solid Adam Sandler performance. But Juancho Hernangómez is the absolute standout with a very heartfelt and loving performance, it is a winner. A passionate love letter to the great game of basketball, but even if you’re not a fan it’s difficult to not get swept up by the genuine emotions and huge heart. Adam Sandler gives some of his best work and Juancho Hernangomez is equally great.
Adam Richard Sandler knows this one piece is definitely raising his standard higher on the movie making platform in 2022.
