Sadio Mane arrived on Tuesday morning to undertake his medicals ahead of a potential move to Bayern Munich with an official announcement due imminently.
The Senegalese striker had a year remaining on his Liverpool contract but opted to find another challenge elsewhere especially when he had won and conquered everything in Liverpool.
Bayern Munich sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic believes Sadio Mane is at the ‘right club’ after undertaking a medical ahead of his transfer from Liverpool, the sporting director spoke highly of the striker who represented the Reds for 6 years where he scored over 100 goals and considered one of the most important figures in the club alongside Mohammed Salah.
After signing the Uruguayan striker Darwin Nunez from Benfica for a fee of a 64million which could rise to 85 million-plus add-ons, its clear Liverpool was already decided on parting ways with their deadly left-winger who probably felt underappreciated because of his low-income and hence wished for an increase or just to leave to another competitive side.
