Samuel Eto says no one is guaranteed a first team start.

After Cameroon edged out Burundi by a goal to nil , the Cameroon FA boss congratulated his players for winning their first match of the African qualifying campaign but was not happy at the teams performance and this has made him to speak to the team with facts of patriotism.

He said” “I am not happy,” he began. “I don’t care who you play against; you represent Cameroon. I am not happy at all. In my time, I missed the World Cup because I knew what problems I had. Those problems won’t repeat themselves while I’m president,” he added.

“Places in this team will be earned. Nobody, I repeat, nobody has a place guaranteed in this team. You must do your job. Eto as a player was very determined and versatile, the team paly was mostly centered around him, his will to fight was unmatched by any other player and he was always willing to score no matter what it takes, his days at the national team was one every Cameroonian will remember.
